Step into Paul’s Story
“After this I saw a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language.” (Revelation 7:9)
My name is Paul Hagayi. I was born in Minembwe, in the South Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Together with my wife Odette and our children, I live in the Netherlands. I am a musician, worship leader, and songwriter. With the gifts God has given me, I long to serve Him and connect people with one another. Through music and worship, I have experienced how powerful it is when people from different cultural backgrounds come together. Different languages, rhythms, instruments, and musical traditions can exist side by side and form one song of praise together.
Together with Stichting Gave and Song2Serve, we want to move forward in this in a connecting way. We are building a movement that seeks to bring people and churches from different cultures together throughout the Netherlands, around worship and encounter. Our desire is that people get to know one another, feel welcome, and discover that our differences don’t have to create distance, but can instead reflect God’s multifaceted nature. With this movement, we want to offer a foretaste of the heavenly reality: people from every nation, tribe, and language worshiping God together.
I cannot carry this movement alone. Your prayer, involvement, and financial support help me live out my calling and bring people together around Jesus throughout the Netherlands. Together we can make Jesus known and make something of God’s Kingdom visible: different cultures, one family, one Lord, and one worship. Will you join me?
